The Professional Animal Cruelty Investigator: Livestock Investigations class is a 40-hour certification course for law enforcement and animal control officers that investigate crimes against livestock animals including beef cows, dairy cows, goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, and other animals commonly kept as livestock animals.
Registrants will participate in open discussions and participate in classroom activities on topics including, but not limited to conducting animal welfare assessments on various livestock animals, best practices in husbandry, internal and external parasites,
Completion of this course requires that all registrants attend the entire course, participate in all discussions and hands-on training exercises, pass a written examination with a score of 80% or higher.
Registrants that successfully pass this course will receive a certification from the American Animal Cruelty Investigations School with the designation as an investigator of crimes against livestock animals.
