Chemical Immobilization Technician – Noblesville, IN

The AACIS Chemical Immobilization Technician certification class is for law enforcement and animal care and control professionals that may need to use anesthetic drugs for the purpose of capturing animals that cannot otherwise be captured by traditional methods.

Course Format

This training program is taught is a blended format; 8 hours of the class is completed online, and 8 hours of the class is completed with an instructor.  Students are encouraged to begin the online training portion of the class as soon as possible. AACIS will provide the students with the website URL and password to access the training material.  Students will be required to read on various topics and submit written responses to the instructor. This portion of the class must be completed before the student attends the face-to-face training portion of the class.

Face-to-Face Instruction

Students will learn from an instructor in a hands-on environment for the second 8 hours of the training class. Students will practice performing drug calculations, loading and unloading remote delivery devices (RDDs), demonstrate projector safety, marksmanship, and participate in multiple scenario-based training exercises.

Completion Standards

Completion of this course requires that all registrants attend the entire course, participate in all discussions and hands-on training exercises, pass a written examination with a score of 80% or higher.

Certifications Provided

Registrants that successfully pass this course will receive a certification from the American Animal Cruelty Investigations School with the designation as a certified Florida Animal Control Officer.
