The Professional Animal Cruelty Investigator: Canine & Feline Investigations certification course is an instructor-led course designed for people seeking certification as an animal cruelty investigator.
Training topics for this course include the animal welfare assessments, animal cruelty laws, animal cruelty and neglect, hoarding investigations, dangerous dog investigations, dogfighting, puppy sales, pet store inspections, constitutional law, animal case law, case file development, crime scene analysis, courtroom preparation, the starvation process, body condition scoring for canine and feline animals, and more.
This course is 40 hours in length and taught in an instructor-led, face-to-face classroom environment.
Students must attend all 40 hours of the training program, participate in all classroom discussions, presentations, and scenario-based training exercises, and pass a written examination with a score of 80% or higher.
