The Mississippi Animal Control Officer (Module A) is the first part of a two-part instructor-led course. This course is designed for animal control officers seeking certification as an animal control officer in the state of Mississippi.
Registrants will participate in open discussions and participate in classroom activities on topics including, but not limited to animal control officer ethics & professionalism, investigative report writing, constitutional law, Mississippi animal laws, courtroom preparation and presentation, field operations, animal knowledge, rabies awareness and prevention, animal cruelty investigations, and fundamental concepts of animal sheltering.
Completion of this course requires that all registrants attend the entire course, participate in all discussions and hands-on training exercises, pass a written examination with a score of 80% or higher.
Registrants that successfully pass this course will receive a certification from the American Animal Cruelty Investigations School with the designation as a Mississippi Animal Control Officer (Module A).

The early registration fee for this course is $550.00; the general registration fee is $600.00; the late registration fee is $650.00.
